I am very happy with Darebin service and the person who serviced my heater was pleasant to to talk to and explain what He had done.

Fed up with $1,000 winter gas bills while still freezing, we decided to ditch gas and look into reverse cycle heating. Also knowing that gas is going away, and will get more expensive over next few years, it was time to get $eriou$. I researched and received quotes/proposals from 7 reverse cycle and 3 gas furnace companies (just in case we wanted a low upfront cost fix, but long-term excessive cost). Nick from Darebin was one of the few who actually came out to assess the job in person—an instant red flag for the companies that didn't! He was also not a 'rebate chaser', be careful who you deal with. Darebin sized the unit perfectly (unlike others who quoted oversized units sight-unseen) and this allowed for me to predict a 5-year payback period, compared to 7+ years for less sophisticated, more expensive tech from competitors. Plus, Darebin helped us navigate the generous Victorian Government rebate (get it before 1st October 2026, you 'lose' an extra $2K from co-payment), The install was incredibly smooth. The crew was super polite, explained everything as they went, and at one point had four Darebin vans out front—an impressive 'all hands on deck' effort! All the old ductwork and gas furnace were removed with no damage. Upgrading to the Airtouch 5 zone control has been a complete game-changer for us (with a sensor / heat switch in every zone, and ability to say 'OK Google, turn on Dining Room (heating)' :) We did run into a rare (1 in a million we were told) manufacturer fault on the compressor unit, a cross-threaded valve (our typical luck!), and while the coordination with the manufacturer's repairer could've been slightly smoother, Darebin got it sorted out in record time. Despite a few minor VEU paperwork misunderstandings, their support, technical ability, and overall service were outstanding. Highly recommend!

Darebin Trade Services replaced our old gas hot water system with IStore. Excellent service from start to finish. The receptionist was professional and respectful when taking the details and following up to make an appointment for installation.The technicians Roy and Steve arrived and finished in time. It was raining, but that doesn't stop them from doing a perfect job. The installation well done by Roy who was very mannered and professional. They clean up when they finished. Finally made the move to an Electric Heat pump. Lots of installers out there now but decided to go with a company that's been in business for a long time. This tells you something. Darebin trade made the switch easy. Excellent service, competitive price and a professional and quick install. Who wants to wait for Hot water. Totally recommend there service. Mark Howard
